You do realize Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky of ‘The Office’ are writing the next GB3?

Arggh. Must – stay – calm.

Yes of course I’ve heard that. RSS feeds are my crack. However, a few years ago I was told I was insane because Dan Aykroyd was pushing to get his GB3 screenplay (Hell Bent) made and therefore I had no chance. More recently, Dan’s work has become the subject matter for the video game.

A lot happens in the film industry – and nothing is done until it’s gone before camera (sometimes not even then).

My take is that I’ve written an excellent, unique screenplay that may provide the Switzerland the original stakeholders need to finally get this project off the ground.

Bare in mind that because the rights are owned 5 ways, if they don’t all like Gene and Lee’s work … it’s back to square one. So as I see it, the more viable options the stakeholders have the better.

Besides, I took 2 years to write and polish (and 2 years to research). Paid screenwriters don’t have that type of time to deliver a product. Therefore (Gozer willing), if the powers that be come knocking – they might be pleasantly surprised what they find behind door number 2.
